Occasionally, Locket invites people to join a short audio or video chat with our team so we can learn how Locket fits into their lives and how we can make the app better.
This page explains what a user interview is, how we keep it safe, and what you agree to when you sign up. If a teen ages 13–17 is invited, a parent or guardian should read this page too.
It's our top priority to keep these conversations safe, professional, and comfortable.
1. Participation is voluntary
User interviews are optional conversations about Locket — what you like, what could be better, and ideas for new features. They are not sales calls.
You can skip any question or end the conversation at any time. Choosing not to participate, or leaving a call early, will not affect your Locket account, Locket Leaders status, or Locket Gold.
Parents and guardians are welcome to join the call or stay nearby.
2. What happens on the call
Every interview includes at least two Locket team members. This two-adult rule helps keep the conversation balanced and safe.
The conversation stays focused on Locket and product feedback. It is not counseling, medical advice, or an emergency service.
Please do not share passwords, verification codes, financial information, or another person’s private information during the interview.
3. Calls are recorded
We may record the interview by audio and/or video so there is a clear record of the conversation.
Original recordings are kept for 6 months and then deleted permanently.
4. How we handle interview information
We treat interview notes carefully:
Notes are anonymized. Shared notes only keep basic details like age, gender, and U.S. state.
Raw transcripts are limited to a small group of Locket executive team members (CEO, CTO, CMO, and Head of Design) working on the research.
Other teammates only see heavily summarized, fully anonymized takeaways — never a participant’s name or raw transcript.
Interview data is deleted after 6 months.
Locket may use feedback to improve its products. Signing up does not mean any idea or suggestion will be built.
5. Extra steps for teens ages 13–17
If the participant is 13–17, a parent or legal guardian must give written approval before the interview is scheduled. Simply being told that an interview might happen is not enough — we need a clear written yes.
That approval can be a short text message or email reply. We still ask for this written sign-off even if a parent or guardian plans to be in the room during the call.
6. Questions or changing your mind
If you have questions, want to decline, or want to cancel after signing up, reply to the message you received or reach out through Locket support. We’re happy to help.
